Backlight won't turn on at main screen

Postby Phoom » Wed Jan 14, 2009 3:54 am

For some odd reason, the back light is no longer on when at the main screen (the screen that you can set custom text and e-mail/IM indicator).

At first I thought it was my USB ports, as I went from plugging from hub (where it worked) to back of computer. I plugged the unit in several ports and back to the hub and same problem occurs. Ever so often, when plugging in, it'll be blank but after clicking on disconnect and reconnect, it works and goes to main screen (but still without back light).

However, the back light DOES turn on for a couple of seconds but when it hits the main screen, it goes out. This is with a new install of Windows XP Sp2 32bit along with a new install of Pertelian driver/software.

Gosh, I have to say, using the Pertelian is addicting, it's a fun little toy at first but it grows on you pretty quick when you realized how convenient the little thing is.

Hey Phoom,
I'm glad to hear you're enjoying your time with Pertelian!

Does the backlight not respond when you hit the backlight hotkey? (Default Clt Alt 4) Can you try executing this hotkey when you are at the main screen?

Wow. I can't believe the answer was that simple. I'm even more surprised that I overlooked a basic function of the Pertelian.

SILLY ME~!

No worries. It's not the first time I had that questions. :)
